Messy welds
Would Not RecommendIt sure makes a sturdy gate but the welds on the brackets were real messy, preventing me from getting the 2x4’s in there nice and flush so I had 2 options: 1. spend 20min to file down the welds to get a snug fit. 2. Sand or cut a little off of the corners of the 2x4s. I did a mix of both and the result is a sturdy HEAVY gate, that was a real pain to put together.

Would RecommendThis gate frame worked exactly as expected. It can be used to make almost any sized gate. Some of the corners of the wood needed to be filed down because of the welds in the frames, but still much easier and sturdier than making a wood frame gate.

Would RecommendWind blew fence door down. Went & bought this kit along w/ the wood needed. It comes with screws, drill bit & screw bit, buy extra screws for the panels. The box says 20 mins. Maybe if you're a carpenter. 3 hrs start to finish w/ 2 trips back to Lowe's because I forgot stuff. Highly recommend.
Pro: Easy to use, Gate is Square, coating is good quality, Prefer HOMAX to "Adjusta-a-Gate" or cutting a 45> truss. Long drill bit shaft is a help but... Con: Drill bit that comes with the kit is too brittle, screw diameter is too small, screw needs a self drilling tip to eliminate need for drilling. Screw holes on the bracket need to be staggered at 45 degrees for maximum strength (statics 101), screw where vertical board meets the bracket needs to counter sunk. Would RecommendGreat product super easy to install! Before I purchased this product I read all the reviews and watched a video on YouTube! There's no way this could be done in 20min but a good 1-2 hours with basic skills and tools is do able! I had an existing gate so measurements was easy and everything was measured and cut putting it all together was easy! Corners where the wood met the weld joints was an easy fix just slightly miter that end and everything goes together nice and flush! No shims required!
