Lasted years and years

I was given this little freezer from my Mother in law after she owned it for years! I took it with gratefulness and have had it for probably another 12 years or more! Great freezer!!!

Long Life Freezer

I can't comment on the newer Holliday freezers, but I do have an old 5 cu. ft. model from Low's store. It was purchased in 1982 and it is still running after 40 years with no issues. However, I am I am replacing it before it dies.

FREEZER DIDN'T LAST LONG

USED ABOUT A YEAR LONG (2 SEASON @ 6 MONTHS EACH). 3RD SEASON.....KAPUT. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE!!

I bought a 5.0 Holiday Freezer, love it

I bought one of these freezers about 10 years ago and it has run great ever since. I actually gave it to my son and daughter in law 4 years ago when I moved to Las Vegas NV from Florida and couldn't take my furniture with me. They kept in their garage and used it until today. Now I just got it back from them and its still running like a charm, its in my kitchen! Love, love, love it, I'm so happy to have it back!

Regretting this purchase

Freezer worked well until about a month ago. The compressor started emitting a buzzing noise. Recently it has began to sporadically emit excessive heat on the compressor side. With an infrared thermometer, the temp displayed was 94-96 degrees. It heats up the entire kitchen. It has lost some of its freezing ability and it no longer makes the whooshing sound of coolant passing through the system. I am very concerned that it has become a fire hazard. I've had this freezer for about 18 months now, maybe a few months longer. So far I have had no issues. I keep it in my house in a small washing room, and it's quiet, out of the way, and a convenient way to store the meat that I buy in bulk. There is a very, very slight amount of frost built up near the top of the freezer, but nothing for me to even bat an eye at. Quite after 14 months

I really liked this freezer for the first 14 months. Up to that point my only complaint was that it needed to come with two baskets instead of one. Also, would have preferred one that was frost free for similar price. However, it just stopped working last month. I had this freezer 14 months and it stopped working. I didn't know it at the time it went out so all the meat I had in it ruined and created one big mess and stink. I also lost about $300 worth of meat and chicken. I am seriously upset!!...

dissapointed in defrost feature

I made a purchase for this chest freezer last year and am displeased with the fact that there is not an automatic defrost. I know have to remove all my food from the chest freezer to manually defrost. in the future Lowe's should consider having frost free chest freezers to avoid this situation.

I bought this freezer 8 months ago. I had a problem with the seal and it began to frost over where the seal is not sealing. I contacted Lowe's who gave me the phone number to the consumer. They verified I was still under warranty. I have made the 3rd phone call and was told that there is not a service representative in my area and they would have the Field Manager contact me. That was August 2. I called again on August 7, and then again today August 12. Still not have talked to the Field Manager...

Perfect freezer for small household

We just received this freezer about 1 week ago and it works fine. Perfect size to easily fit down our basement stairs, and plenty of room to stash away some fresh berries for the winter and to keep extra frozen foods we don't need every day for which we find bargains. It would be nice if the on switch lit up like the larger model but for the modest price point I'm not complaining! To be on the safe side I bought 2 year extended warranty for an extra $20.

The freezer is the perfect size that I needed. So far it works great. We are able to buy extra frozen products and keep more meat available. It also opened up space in my refrigerator. Basically, we love it.

Small tub freezer for moving

We needed a small tub freezer for our frozen foods as we moved from Atlanta to Denver. The Lowes expert suggested this freezer. It was cost effective. We loaded it onto the back of the truck and were able to plug it into an outside plug at the hotels where we stayed each night (using a LONG extension cord). Excellent little freezer

Our new house has less freezer space than we are used to. We favor Costco bulk supplies and it quickly overwhelmed our kitchen side-by-side. We are just a couple so we are not looking to do locker beef or a season's fishing/hunting success, just needed enough room for the 6-packs and 5-10 pound bags that warehouse stores offer. This little chest freezer sits in a quiet corner of the garage, very unobtrusive, doesn't disturb car parking and provides just enough space to contain our shopping habit...

Very Satisfied So Far
