[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It worked amazing at 1st for probably a few weeks , and I love the design of it, but I rate it a 3 fore the fact that its not made out of heavy duty materials to keep the storage life longer of the tool, its very easy to accidentally drop it and there goes most of the plastic, but that want my issue im just stating that fact so maybe there next one can be improved, but my issue was in a general contractor and ive done construction for 10+ year...

Dual cut price and angle

This is like the B model I over paid for years ago. I use these to remodel. I have never had a Hitachi fail me yet. Once I even left it in the Rain for a night. Great saw. Beats my Yellow ones hands down, I have seen so many other 18v tools made by Hitachi. what stores offer them.

This product has excellent features.

This product does all that I expected and more. It is easy to use, and makes me a better handy man.

This saw is awesome....except for the laser

I've had this saw for a couple years now & I love it with the exception of the laser. Don't get me wrong, the feature is great, I just wish They would've thought it through a little better. Red lasers in general aren't too easy to see during the day which is when these saws are being used for the most part. It would've been perfect if Hitachi had put a green laser in it since they're easier to see in the daylight....bonus, it's Hitachi's color.

I find the laser feature hard to use.

All and all an excellent saw. I am not pleased by the laser. Extremely difficult if not impossible to cut the same length.

Unit is a very good value for the money

I love this saw.

I purchased the saw to finish a hardwood floor job that I had started and my old one died midway through. I have great words for the company and saw. It did everything I thought it would and lots of extras and I have the complete saw with the size and double bevel. It even helped me finish a deck project that I just did and cut everything from a 4x4 to compound cuts for raling. Would recommend to anyone who is looking for a complete saw to buy this one.

Good sturdy saw, needs better options for joint cutting.

Finally got the saw mounted on my custom made saw bench. I will cut large pieces 105x 105 x 4 metres for house extension. Lots of accurate joints to cut, but depth stops are loose fitting and normal use does not allow 52.5 mm cuts because of slider reach. General saw cutting is good, but I have to recalibrate from factory preset, not square! Laser guide is no good for outdoor use with sun. Saw does not come with additional clamp screw (50 cents), when I want to move clamp to right side. Need mor...

This product has is premium quality

great saw-love the styling/color combo, a bit heavy but a plus to me. Other Pros: slide allows a clean reverse cut on much wider stock that I normally needed the table saw for, loaded with power and blade speed, unit is quick and easy to set and operate. Con: does not do a great job bagging saw-dust without using a shop-vac which I hate to pull out for a few cuts. I did use unit to cut material for it's own nice new portable work table. Very nice saw

The laser was accurate right out of the box. Light centered on the pencil line would leave just a shade of the graphite (with the cut on the right edge of the laser). This is a BIG saw but once mounted on a RIGID SUV (Saw Utility Vehicle), it transports easily and is very easy to use. I had to adjust the angle markers to zero once I squared the saw but I've never not had to do that. I put a 100-tooth Irwin Marples blade on it and my son (who is a finish carpenter# wants to steal my saw now. Says...

A very good saw for a woodshop

i like just about everything about this saw. The one challenge was fitting the dust outlet. I bought one of those multi-diameter adapters and sawed off all but the last. That fits snugly, and my shop-vac hose fits the other side.

Does not cut square.

Sliding rail is out of alignment, cannot square the machine. I took the tool to an authorized repair center. Hopefully they can square the machine. Also wary of how much the arm deflects when in the far back position. Bought this for accurate wide miters.

EXCELLENT FEEL

THIS SAW HAS A GOOD FEEL AND ACCURACY IN CUTTING. EASY TO READ TILT GAUGE. DIDN'T HAVE TO PUT YOUR HEAD BEHIND THE SAW TO SET TILT. 6 INCH CROWN CUT PERFECTLY ON THE FLAT.

Excellent saw

Excellent saw, very strong, makes accurate cuts. I really like the geared knobs to dial in exact angles and bevels. If I had to make one knock against the saw, it would be that the front left hole to mount saw is off center, so mounting to certain stands is a little difficult.

My first one made me buy my second one 15 yrs later

I use the miter saw like a work horse. It has done everything I have thrown at it. No problems here.

Great features,but

Have only used a few times and so far am pleased in the purchase. Only con is the laser. Great idea but for me is difficult, read impossible , to see in outdoor sun light. Have bought the red glasses to help but have yet to use them. they look so dark may see the laser but doubt if can see my pencil mark

Great saw with a few quirks

This is my third Hitachi and each time I have upgraded to the next size up. I still have the other saws for firewood, metal cutting, stone cutting and salvage wood as they are still accurate and will not die. The C12RSH is nice, powerful and accurate. I've used it for 6 months now daily from timber framing to fine stain finish and furniture. The rail is great for compact areas akin to the festool slide. The fence extension is awkward and prevents cutting 45 degrees when fully tilted to the left....

Bought this saw because of the features and have used them all. It works great and very easy to set and use. Love it.

Good product

I researched for some time miter saws, and finally decided on the Hitachi brand. I base this choice in the fact that I own other tools from this brand and have had a very god experience with them. Another important point on my selection was price and value on my investment. The saw is been used for furniture and specifically frames with very good results.
