Would RecommendUsing this for archaeological illustration and it works very well for getting the small details on pottery sherds. My only complaint is that the base is very tall/thick in comparison to the teeth. So if you are trying to do precise drafting, the base can't sit on your working surface otherwise the teeth float. It has to hang off the side of the surface to lay the teeth completely flat for tracing. For most use cases of a profile gauge this is normal and fine, so its not a major issue. Just an in...

Would Not RecommendIt does a good job of showing contours but treat it gently. By the end of one day I had a few of the metal pieces falling out of it. I was not too rough with it so not sure why they came out. It got me through my project.
