Bought this generator to use at our deer camp it is extremely quite and with push button start cannot beat it very much a up grade to what we were using! Great product

very good generator once it was repaired

I ordered the generator on line. After receiving the generator, I followed the directions of setting up and preparing the generator for use. The unit started but did not produce any electricity. I called for Generac for assistance and was offered either return or bring it to a service store. The was the best option for me. Blown away by the IQ3500. Quiet and Powerful

We have been using this Generac IQ3500 for over 300 hours now without issues. We camp on our houseboat and instead of using the onboard generator that uses 1.6 Gal/Hr, we have a 30A twist lock into the boat to run all of the 110v. It generally runs 12-16 hours depending on load. Its super quiet in Eco mode and isn't very loud running full open. Excellent portable generator

After months of extensive research, I chose the Generac IQ3500 as a home back power source. All of the pre-work paid off. This unit is very well built, runs extremely well, and is unbelievably quiet. Could not be more pleased with this generator. Well done Generac.

Super Quiet and Starts Easy

This IQ3500 is super quiet and starts very easily. After it sat for a week or so i thought I would try the pull start, 1 pull and started right up. If you are not running at full load all the time you will hardly know it's running.

Hard ramp up, but after that a great unit !

First day I got it was really hard to get it working, 5 attempts or more every time I wanted to start the Inverter, the second day was a little bit easier. Its been in use for 4 days now, starting is no longer a problem, I can get it running every time at the first try. Don´t know if it was part of the break in period or what. Unit is super capable, I can run an electric grill and a Makita saw at the same time with no trouble. Fuel efficiency is great on econo mode. The only down...

Unbelievably Quiet!

I bought this generator to run my Ice House/Camper. All of the 2000 units were not powerful enough to run my AC Unit. This unit has been great, I was able to run the AC, Refrigerator, TV, DVD, Lights, and Coffee maker all at the same time. The IQ3500 is also the quietest unit I have seen, it is as quiet as the 2000 watt units. I don't like giving 5's but a 4 ("Good") didn't seem like enough. 4.5 is where I'd like to be. Super Quiet!!!

This thing is super quiet, and starts with the push of a button every time! I use it for when we lose power to run my freezers and refrigerators.

Took 3 units to get a good one

Overall nice looking took 3 units to get a good one 1st one display not working properly, 2nd unit the first ones replacement exhaust plastic broken, corner of metal not in plastic looking on the inside wire loom was wore though and date codes were 2 years old, 3rd unit good so far. but used less then an hour.

Bought this portable for my camper as a backup and for state parks where there isn’t any electrical hookups. Went with Generac because i also have a 17KW on my home. Excellent brand! I was surprised by how quiet this guy is. You walk 10 feet and it is like its barely audible. I recommended it to my friend who was looking for one. He bought the same model (iq 3500) and he is also thrilled! I can highly recommend this generator for performance, affordability and looks.

This generator will be used for off grid camping. We already have a whole house Generac generator so it was no surprise to find the quality and feature we were looking for and much less expensive than the 'big name' generator. I just purchased a IQ3500. The unit came with everything needed less the gasoline. I read the manual and filled the unit with the provided oil, added 100% gas and fired it up. It started immediately and ran great. Ultra quite and very smooth. I plugged in some lights for a lite load and ran it for 1.5 hours. I shut it down and checked the oil level. I usually never purchase a new product for which I can not find other reviews. I purchased this generator for the portability and the compact size. I am 100% glad I bought this model. Started the first time, ran quieter than I expected. I am considering on purchasing a 2nd unit and hook them up parallel with each other.
