Think twice about buying one!!!!!!

Bought one of these units 4 years ago now and the problems continue on the first one was a year ago just before warranty ran out the whole carburetor assembly fell of due to broken bolts on intake side now the oil switch has broken off after closer inspection someone at factory stripped one of the two screws so it was being held by only one and now the the bolts holding the carburetor assembly is lose again and I keep getting over rpm light that will not clear ,sped a little extra by a bet...

Yesterday 3/21/24 I had my 7.5w generator installed at my townhouse in Overland Park Kansas. I decided to get the generator in January after I lost power for the 2nd time in 6 months. Generac replacement generator

Looks good and provides reassurance for us "seniors"

This is new for us -I'm surprised that arranging installation was so simple for our electrician

I was a bit put off that our town put us through the getting a "permit" process! However, our electrician guided us through the application process and selection of the appropriate generator. We live on the coast of Maine and experience a great deal of wind from time to time. We have owned a portable generator but are greatly pleased to now own the "real thing". No more worries about frozen pipes, etc. when we are not home. Thanks!

Disappointed

I have installed every major electrical panel doing service changes and never had such tight main wire conditions as Generac, both panels. The main panel doesn't have any multiple ringed knockouts and the 2 that are there are poorly designed and the plug at the top is useless in most installations. The generator panel(s) are poorly designed with the main wiring connection to the circuit breaker being blind. The layout for the incoming wire grounding bar/neutral bar are horrible. Good value

Easy installation . Good instructions. Seemed a little pricy for the cold weather kit. Needed for any location that falls below 32. Seems like that should be almost standard or a factory option. The only negative is no wifi. When I called support about wifi I was informed the 7 kw no longer has it. Read the description carefully. They claim many of the same features as the guardian series. And the guardian says wifi is standard. Seem like sneaky marketing . But over all happy.

Looks good and easy to hook up

So far everything is good. Hooked up and test run. I think the start up instructions could be written to better understand the sequence of the operation. Just waiting on a power outage now.

Works well but runs rough - expensive installation

Our standby generator runs about half of our summer lake home. The good: It starts right up. We're only out for 15 seconds max. The peace of mind knowing our kitchen, water, septic, furnace, bathroom, and plenty of outlets (TV, wifi, lights) will run uninterrupted is wonderful. It's come on twice in the past month. Lack of Support from Generac (New Purchase)

Just received our new 7.5 Kwat unit, for home standby use, Natural gas-powered unit. I went on-line and registered the new unit immediately. Hired an electrician with experience in installation of home standby generators. Hired authorized and experienced individual to make the natural gas piping. Great investment in peace of mind!

Arrived to my door in perfect condition. Installation was simple and straightforward. Instructions were clear and precise to my specific model. The auto transfer switch is high quality and very easy to wire. Only thing I’m not crazy about is the screw down lid. I wish it had hinges and a lockable latch. Oh and it’s louder than I expected. Overall well made, attractive and functional. Worth every penny.

Product works as advertised!

A great value for the money! After outages it gives me peace of mind that I won't be without power for an extended period of tome. Other than a couple glitches, the installation went well. The fuses for the transfer switch were missing. If not provided there should a place in the directions indicating what to buy! After contacting your company, I received fuses from Generac at no charge!

This product is good and fits nicely at the side of the house

I ordered this product and was very happy with the arrival time it arrived on island after the order was placed. Clearance was very smooth and once my electrician installed and the company connected the LPG and all checks were performed everything was good to go. Fortunately there was a power failure and the generator cut in and had a good run. The once weekly test is also done automatically.

Somewhat disappointing

Brand new generac installed. Relay switch needs replacement. Also suppose run once a week for 15 min. Runs whenever it wants for more than 15 minutes

Generac 7.5 generator with transfer switch

Great price for what we needed with 8 circuits 60 amps of power and a auto transfer switch it's hard to beat . were able to keep food cold the house warm during winter ,lighting , tv, internet , micro wave oven , coffee maker, sump pump (rain storms) Runs as it should very easy to hook up good instruction easy to follow. Not very happy right now controller want activate my generator so it will run in auto!!!

Waiting on support next week to help find what's wrong with it. Already paid 85 dollar service call a not fixed yet. Might be a good generator when issues is fixed.

I had this unit installed yesterday by two electricians who have successfully installed several of your products. After the unit and switch was installed we tried to start the engine. Unfortunately we were unable to do so. We cannot get the controls to turn on. We checked switches, fuse and battery and could find no issues.
