More Shop Time than Work Time

I purchased a Generac 2700-PSI because of its high review scores. My unit did not measure up to the reviews. The unit has less than 25 hours of run time and has been in the shop twice. The first visit was due to a broken starter rope that happened about six months after the purchase date. The second time the unit would not spray. Total Disappointment

Ordered this pressure washer and received it in March of 2015...easy to assemble and started up the first pull....that's the good news! Today I went to use it for the second time, went through all the checks, checked the oil, added fresh gas hooked up the water hose and the pressure handle. Mind you, this machine was put away after it's first use with no gas in the tank. First pull nothing, second nothing so on and so forth! The darn thing just wouldn't fire up. Very Satisfied

Started up right out of the box with no problems. Used it most of the day I got it and it performed very well on various type surfaces. Seems like a very good bang for the buck to me. The only negative comment I have is that the oil fill and gasoline fill openings (access) are just a little user-unfriendly... a very petty comment. Rubber tires (instead of plastic) would have been nice but not really needed for my use around the house. I would most definitely buy this pressure washer again.

DO NOT BUY......

Lowes was great....came on time, no damage, easy to set-up and get running......engine is a jewel, BUT, after 1 hr. of use, the pump went......took it to a repair center, they replaced valves in the pump.....this time it worked for about 10 min. and the same thing happened. Now they tell me that despite Generac's advertising a 2 year warranty, that it ONLY covers the motor, and I'll have to pay for the repair (pump warranty is 1 year, even though it doesn't say that anywhere). Beware of parts

I purchased this unit about 10 months ago and was initially happy with it. I drained it for storage over the winter but there must have been moisture left in the pump manifold and it cracked. No worries I thought, just order a new manifold - can't - new pump assembly will cost $ 171.50, plus shipping. Seems kind of stupid for a unit that only cost $299 new. So, off to the dump it goes and I'll never buy another. Enjoy!

Got a dud. Save the box!

First and foremost, thanks to Lowe's for making this a happy ending. I purchased this unit online, and picked it up at the store. Unpacking was simple, although the directions weren't anything spectacular. I'm glad I read the reviews in advance, as the supplied oil container is indeed much too big. Good Product for the Money

Took about 15 minutes to unpack, assemble, and add gas and oil. Engine started on first pull and runs very smooth. Fuel tank capacity is 2-3 times that of competitive brands, which was the deciding reason I purchased this unit.......the tank holds about 3 quarts, enough for over an hour's use. The unit puts out more than enough pressure to clean plastic siding on our buildings, and when mated to a circular surface cleaner, did a fast and very good job cleaning my very long concrete driveway. Easy to assemble, started on first pull. Great pressure and fairly quiet for what it is. This is my third pressure washer, and by far, the best yet.

First Pressure Washer

Received the 6596 for Christmas and put it to work a couple days later. Very happy with the setup and assembly. Everything you need to get started was in the box, except fuel and detergent. Started on the second pull. Ran 3 tanks of fuel through it the first day. Plenty of power for what I needed to do around the house. Incredible pressure washer

I power washed my fence (over 200') in less than a day compared to the 3 days it took me to do it a few years ago with my friend's 1800psi. Easy to use and more than enough power to do the job.

Great purchase!

A few difficulties, but overall an excellent product. Great pressure and engine runs well. Even called customer service once and they did good job. Read instructions....they have helpful care and usage tips. Also, they even ship free to your door in a timely manner!

Well made and does the job. Great pressure washer for homeowners. Minor assembly required from the box - about ten minutes and you're ready to go. Don't forget to add the oil (included in box).

Great Machine

Was debating if I was going with the 3000 PSI or the 2700. After reading some of the reviews I decided that the 2700 was enough machine for me. Glad I did for what I wanted it for it's perfect. Enough power and does a great job. Easy set up and will be ready to go in a short time. would recommend it to anyone.

The Instruction Manual was well written and very easy to follow. As long as you follow the instructions a novice shouldn't have a problem putting this Pressure Washer together. 2700-PSI 2.3-GPM Gas Pressure Washer is great. I cleaned my siding on my home this weekend and it bought it back to looking like brand new siding. Also cleaned the cement/driveway and the privacy fence and this works wonders. I am happy I read the reviews and purchased. You can't go wrong with purchasing it. Replaced my 8 year old Honda

I bought this because the pump on my Honda stopped working. I knew of Gererac quality generators so thought I'd give this pressure washer a try. I like that the water and hose connections are not at the very bottom of the machine and that they are in the rear as well.
