Great Software - Poor fit and finish

For the cost, I am displeased with the sapphire screen and the charging port. Both seem to be of poor quality. The "sapphire" crystal screen exhibits many scratches which I did not think that surface type was supposed to do. The power/charging plug is a poor design. The plug will not stay in the watch, even the weight of the cable will pull it out, making charging difficult (you have to disable any notifications as well- any buzz notification will dislodge the charging cable).

Full of features

I like this watch very much but had I known it was going to be discontinued I wouldn't have purchased it.

Research Paid Off

Had a Fenix 6 and battery life was starting to diminish along with broken strap so thought better to get something new. Fenix 7 was on sale for a nice price but after doing a lot of research went with the Epic Pro in 51mm. My eyes are starting to fail me so the size does not feel too big. Love the screen and colors. Missing Roller Skiing as an activity !

It's is mind bending that, after all these year, Garmin still does not support Roller Skiing as an activities with the detailed metrics it deserves.

Epix gen 2

The watch is awesome built great. Comfortable, tough. The gps and maps super cool. The Health aspect is ok. App is not great. Entering your exercise manually not great. Even in free mode you have to go in and make all kinds of updates. Not a fan of that.

Game changer

Best Garmin watch I’ve ever owned! I’ve had the Tactix, forerunners, fenix and this Epix is great. You can’t beat the screen even in sunny conditions. I am now spoiled and won’t go back.

Fantastic Watch for Active People

I've had my Epix Pronfor a few years now & it is the best Garmin watch I've ever owned. Great for tracking walks, hikes, runs, cycling & gym workouts as well as health metrics. Very happy with mine!

Great watch

Easy to read face even in bright light. Touch screen makes maneuvering the menu easier. Would rate higher but too many buttons that aren’t always intuitive.

Great Performance and Reliability

Best Garmin watch for me. I wish Garmin would provide updates to upgrade the UI and offer improve running metrics that appears in the Fenix 8 watches.

Fantastic Epix Pro Gen 2 Sapphire

Bought for myself knowing how much I enjoy my current Fenix 7pro but wanted to try the improved color screen quality. Wow…impressive. The clarity and vibrantly colors are very impressive and the std face options were more than adequate. The battery life also exceeded my expectations! All for a highly discounted price from the original msrp…well worth for anyone considering an upgrade but not wanting to pay the premium prices for a Fenix 8.

Hard to figure out

I wish I could change my watch face to have all the things I want. Not all the things Garmin wants. And a better how to instruction. I fell as though it’s trial and error to figure stuff out and I will only use a fraction of the functionality.

Might've Saved My Life Already!

Got my Epix2 Pro to replace my Fenix 6 in December. Coincidentally, I'd been having strange symptoms of something going on with my body for the last couple months (I'm 63 and in good shape). Everything I Expected!

This watch was everything I expected. Took a chance and bought this 'renewed - like new condition and that is exactly what arrived - looks and acts brand new! after 30 days so far so good! I bought this to replace my Garmin 245 Music so I would not have to using a charging puck halfway through an upcoming 100K in Arizona (I am an old and slow back of the packer!). Great hardware plagued with no software support.

The Garmin Epix Pro Gen 2 (51mm) is a beautiful piece of hardware. The build quality is excellent, the watch feels premium on the wrist, and the AMOLED display is vibrant, sharp, and easily one of the best screens Garmin has ever put on a device. The watch is feature rich but the operation of the watch needs improvement by the development team. It is simply overly complicated and when researching the watch for use for tennis and cycling I find the information needed to support each sufficiently was lacking. It is a runners watch first and foremost it seems and needs improvements for other sports.
