Unless you are a contortionist. Trying to clean this thing is ridiculous. Black mold , instructions tell tiu to turn water valve off. Where? Put toxic cleaning soulition in , where? Lay on the foor and reach into the vack pulling the hose off to ckean take parts off and back on. Not to mention the super hug price it was when first came out

Excellent ice but a headache
So glad I purchased the 5 year warranty on this item techs have been out so many times and at this point they told me they have replaced 100% of the parts. My family and I absolutely love this ice maker but wow what a nightmare and poor engineering. You will find as the other reviews that the pump after a while will never stop running and is very loud. Waste of $
Would Not RecommendWe have had this unit for almost two years and it has not worked consistently. Reach out to GE and we’re told to call a repair tech , they don’t have any in our area. We did that and the person had no idea how it worked. Biggest waste of money ever. So tired of appliances not lasting or working when they cost a small fortune and manufacturers not standing behind them or having personnel to fix them !

Love the nugget ice for sure. But…the ice maker ‘screamed’ the worst sound ever. Finally had a plumber diagnose the problem. Water pressure was too high. Totally fixed that issue. Now it won’t drain and then machine just shut off. Can’t turn it back on. GE repair sent a very kind gentleman to fix it. He had never worked on this machine before. Repaired three times, replaced once.
Would Not RecommendThis machine has been nothing but a nightmare. It was purchased and installed by our builder when our house was completed in July of 2020. Since then, it has been repaired three times and replaced once. I really want to like the machine but it is a constant chore.
