Nice built-in microwave for a good price.

The GE Profile microwave and trim kit was a fair price, easy to install by myself, looks good and simple to use. I ordered it online and picked it up at Lowe's. It arrived about a week early.

Great all around. Just annoying that when it’s done and beeps. I have to press cancel so that I can unlock the door to open it.

Doesn't last

Popcorn & InstallTrim Kit Install Should be Easier

The capacity and controls are fine, and the performance is fine overall for warming food. Surprisingly, if you intend to pop popcorn, you'll need to explicitly adjust the power level otherwise the factory set "popcorn" setting will either undercook or burn your popcorn. The installation of the microwave itself is straightforward, but the trim kit requires patience. The design makes installation harder than it has to be due to the final steps where you have to insert small screws into awkward...

Different

It works well but is different from any that we’ve had before.

Very difficult to replace inside cabinet bulb.

Moved into a brand new house with this new microwave installed. Noticed the inside cabinet light was not working and to replace it you have to remove the microwave from its cabinet mounting and take it apart to replace the bulb. Not an easy job and will most likely require a service call to replace it. My previous microwaves has a bulb that was very easy to replace without having to disassemble the microwave.

Brand new and BROKEN

My husband and I bought a new build home that came with this brand new microwave. At our inspection /initial walk-thru before closing, the microwave was found to be super loud and rattling, so the builder swapped it out with another new one. Now just a few months after closing, I’m having to schedule service because the microwave keeps blowing the electric circuit despite having a dedicated circuit!!! Just bought the new microwave. Everything as stated.

No Mute Button

We had the prior model / version of this exact new GE Profile model, but certain buttons were beginning to short and not work. The new one fits perfectly in the spot of the old microwave with the same trim and dimensions. However, this new version is actually louder than the old model, but what we are most disappointed in is the fact that it doesn't have a mute button. Who doesn't a new model have a mute button? Nice microwave.

Delivery was on time as scheduled. The microwave was in perfect shape. The microwave.was installed using the old mounting bracket everything went smoothly. The only problem was that the new unit bottom was different from the old unit bottom so there we had to adjust the mounting bracket slightly. The microwave itself worked exactly as described in the documentation . It’s been working well for more than a week. No problems at all.

Looks great but cooks too hot. Popcorn button burns the popcorn every time.

Good microwave

This is replacing a GE microwave that I had for 22 years. The motor is quiet; however, the door is vey loud when it opens….Wish it was quieter. I also do not like the lock mechanism and having to push cancel or pause to open the door, but I understand it is a safety feature. The food heats evenly and efficiently. I have only used it to reheat food at this point. Overall, I am happy with this purchase.
