Very nice Microwave

Beautiful and works great

Awkward to use

I was looking for a replacement microwave from my g e profile. this fit the space perfectly. I wanted something without handles for a sleek look. the problem is, the door is huge swings back and can hit you in the head. The microwaving area is much smaller than my original profile. Controls are very awkward as well. they need to go back to the original design! i would definitely not recommend buying this. They should put the controls back where they were originally instead of leaving a big...

Phenomenal

You can always put a small item in a 2.1 ft.³ microwave, but you certainly can't put a large item in a small microwave. This is my second of the exact same model.

Product quality

We replaced a unit which was about 7 years old that was identica inl make and model to the one we just purchased. The previous unit was of a better quality. This unit is cheaply made and we were diappointed. Interior ceiling is now made differently and will not accommodate a magnet plastic food cover we use. Now it must be laid on the carousel and be removed when it is not needed.

Lasted only 5 yrs

Magnetron only lasted 5 yrs... just after the warranty ran out. I'm going to try another of the same model. See how does it do.

I bought this same microwave for our home in Minnesota and LOVE IT! - no complaints!!! So, when we decided to remodel the kitchen at our Florida home, it was a no brainer. No shopping around needed. No comparing products needed. I simply searched for PVM9005SJSS to find the best price :-)

New model same number is not the same

We purchased a new microwave with the same model number ( my previous one was not 8 yrs old and the sensor in the door was blowing out our circuit breaker) we decided to replace it. The new one with the same model number is wider and shorter than the one I’m replacing AND the mounting is totally different. WHY WOULD GE KEEP THE SAME MODEL NIMBER BUT CHANGE THE SIZE AND MOUNTING !!!

The microwave quit working it was junk from the start

Poor Handling

Arrived after an interminable delay with no explanation. Box was evidently left standing in a lot of water and was soaked. Delivery took a photo of the top, which conveniently hid the soaked bottom of the package. The delivery guy politely asked for a good review and not to punish them, they are "just" the delivery guys, which was fine, until they left and the heretofore damage was revealed.

The GE microwave has all the features that I want and its ease of use is very helpful. The ventilation is excellent and its capacity is great for multipurpose uses

Wonky Display

Unfortunately, there appears to be something wrong with the display. Almost on a daily basis, I have to reset the clock. The display seems to reset itself at first use. It also looks like there's a sensor that fails to recognize that there's food in the microwave. I have to open and close the door before it allows me to set the cooking time.

Control panel

Control panel requires a little more pressure pushing numbers on digital panel. Otherwise, all is good!

Bad Unit but good product

Unfortunately, this particular ran loud and the sense cooking did not operate properly and needed to be replaced.

Nice microwave

I literally just installed the microwave. The glass door to see in to the microwave while items are being heated or cooked would be helpful. Talk to your design people. When you open the microwave for the first time there is a lot of “empty” space on the right. Since all of the control buttons are on the bottom, it takes you a second to get used to the unused space.

Great features!

Overall so far I am generally pleased with my purchase. It has many features my old microwave did not have that I like: option to turn off turntable, levels for light and fan are 2 I find particularly helpful. I am not happy with the view into the microwave however. The window is too small and too high for me to see in when using it. Also, and it is far too soon to tell, but the push buttons feel like they are going to wear down quickly. Time will tell if this will prove true or not.
