Meets Expectations

Installation was simple. The cooling is effective. There is an annoying background humming that stops and starts with a notable clunk. When the humming stops the unit is very quiet.

The electronics board on the unit failed in 4 days and it’s noisy

Best window A/C I've ever owned!

This A/C works flawlessly. It is so quiet and pumps out colder air than any window unit I've ever owned. The controls are great and easy to operate. The fact that it is a G.E. product gives me great peace of mind. G.E. has been crafting outstanding products in what seems like forever and are a true American staple.

Best Air Conditioner

I have this Air Conditioner in a lower BTU model and it's by far the best One that I have ever bought in my lifetime. I bought the 8200 BTU model for the bedroom which gets hit hard by the sun and it's Fantastic . Quiet, cool, no rattle and the price I got was Unreal. Don't listen to negative reviews cause this is my second one and I've had the other one for over 5 years.

Best AC ever!

This is the best AC I have ever owned. It's very quiet, efficient cooling, not costly to run, easy to install and the Remote is user friendly. I place a small fan at the end of the room it's in and the rest of the house is very comfortable. I love it. I bought two, just in case, as it's affordably priced.

Delivered

Was delivered but keep getting text that it will be delivered tomorrow. I better not get two.

Loud

This is a really bad product. It is incredibly loud (constant vibrating and popping noises) and wakes us up constantly. It also barely cools the room. I would return this if I could, and I would not recommend.

Nice feature

Is worth to have with this price,easy to install and so quiet. Highly recommended!

Best we have owned so far

This is one of the best air conditioners we have owned. It gets cold very fast and on the quiet setting you do not even know it is on. I would recommend this unit for your living room or bedroom.

This AC looks like the Bentley of all air conditioners. It's got a regal appreance, futuristic controls, and it's smart! Probably smarter than my ex wife lol it even has quiet mode to make it sound like it's not even on a feature that I wish would be capable to use on my ex wife to make her silent when she complains! Overall it's a great unit GE you guys did a great job on this one!!!

Very Difficult to Install - Poor Instructions

The unit probably works just fine, but installation is a total loser. I have 3 air conditioners, a Frigidaire, a Windmill and, now, a GE. The installation manual instructions are completely unacceptable. There are very few illustrations and very vague instructions. For example, the wings that go on the side, there is no instruction as to which end goes onto the AC and which end attaches to the very flimsy plastic sliders. The sliders themselves do not fit well into the slots on the top and botto...
