Great Freezer!

This is a great freezer! Had a limited amount of space in the utility room so that was one main reason for selecting this GE. I feel it is very good value for the price. Overall very happy with it!

Cool Freezer

Perfect size and moves around easily due to wheels integrated beneath. Just big enough to allow us additional storage from refrigerator in the house, while being compact enough to not take up too much space in our garage.

Zenith Chest Freezer

I bought this chest freezer four months ago and I have not regretted of my purchase but I remained with unfathomable optimism.

Good Insulation

I keep this 80 watt freezer in the balcony closet where the condenser is for our apartment heat pump. With exterior air in the 80's or 90's this freezer has kept the food below 0deg F.

Ice Build-up Runs and Runs

I bought this several months ago and was giving it time to settle in, but that did not cure what ails it. Builds up ice at the area of the hinges and goes under the lid gasket and it is consistently turning on and off. Once the ice builds up the freezer heats up.

Working Fine So Far

I've had it about 1-2 months now and have had no troubles. Working fine.

Works well in a FL garage

It is now larger July and I bought this freezer 4 months ago. It sits in a Florida garage where the temperature exceeds 100 degrees during the summer. The freezer is keeping the frozen food fine. I bought the GE specifically because it is rated for a higher temperature range than other small chest freezers that are on sale down here. The only criticism is a small buildup of ice along the door gasket at the hinges. This doesn't seem to adversely impact it's performance but I do remove it occas...

Nice little freezer.

I got this freezer in a auction in my town and have been pretty happy with it so far. I have recently bought some major large GE appliance and hope they hold up as well. I except 15 to 20 years not having circuit boards and ice makers go out of my appliances. I put an extended warranty on my new GE stove and if your products do not hold up then I will never buy any more ever again. If you want to give me a free extended warranty that would be great. I passed up a Ford for that reason.

Good for the price

This has been a good little freezer so far. We've only had it a few months, but haven't had any issues. It's very basic, no bells and whistles, but serves its purpose of giving us a little extra freezer space for food storage. Has held up well in our garage despite extreme Arizona heat.

Works perfectly, great size for an apartment!

Received as a gift from my parents for Christmas and I'm so glad they helped me out by getting a chest freezer. We live on a farm so having extra freezer space is a necessity and this fits perfectly in my apartment, draws very little electricity and works beautifully!. My only wish is that I could easily order one or two more hanging baskets as it only comes with one (typical, but I could use more!).

Compact

just what we needed

We have this freezer in the garage and have had no problems with it. Our garage probably does not get below freezing (32F). We just wanted something to store venison after deer season, the overflow from the side-by-side and bulk purchases of meat. Had to move the dial slightly toward max temp from center to get the freezer temp below zero, but the temp remains steady which I think is important for food storage.
