No support

My major complaint is that I bought the washing machine from a big box store 15 minutes from my house, and now that I need support from GE, I learn that they do not have any service support for the area I live in, nor did they offer to give me any companies who could offer me support. If a company can’t offer service support to consumers who live in certain geographical areas, then they should not sell their product to those consumers.

Too young to die.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ours was made in July 2019. It came with the house we bought in 2024. It's November 2025, and the door leaks, it smells like burning rubber, and the bearings are shot. Our appliance guy says it's not worth fixing. It was alright while it lasted, but 6 years from the date of manufacture is not enough.

DON'T BUY. JUNK PRODUCTS.

Not happy with this product. Would not recommend it to anyone. Had it for less than 5 years and the drum has bent out of round and destroyed the front gasket so now it leaks water. Very poorly made. Look on site for parts and tub is discontinued. Have gone on many sites looking for parts and everyone says that the drums are bent. Think you knew about the problem but never fixed it. Or offered the customers a solution to fix your mistakes.

Washer is junk!

Elderly mother in law had washer installed 2 years ago. Started making rattling sounds, appliance repair man said ball bearings were shot. Not worth to repair. I could not find any warranty information on the website. GE has gone down hill, their products are junk now. Won’t be buying anymore!!

Don't buy this model.

This unit is very unstable. The feet of the machine constantly need to be adjusted. If the feet are out of line (at least once a month they need adjusting) the machine shakes like crazy, makes a very loud rattling sound and shakes the whole house. It sucks that I've been using this machine for five years and the rental company i rent the house from refused to provide an owners manual when we moved in. not worth the money!!!!

I my self did not buy. my grandmother how ever whom I live with did. we got it back in 2019 and let me tell u we have had problems with it for the last 2 years and have spent so much money trying to fix it. someone told us it was because some part needed to be fixed. so we did. it fixed nothing. now it won't drain and I have had 3 diffrent people come and look and it and tell me it just needs to be drained more often. and cleaned. so we have been doing it once a month. and it still won't drain. ...

It has great features and useful settings

We love this washer. It’s very efficient and no matter what size of load you are washing, from a small to large load, it cleand, rinses, and spins effectively.

GE washers and dryers have gone downhill, the washer is nothing but problems. I'll never buy a GE again

Brocken lock assembly switch

Door lock assembly switch broke on washer and hinge broke after only owning a few years.

Love my washer! Wish I could afford a newer model! Always a big fan of GE BRANDS! All my house hold items are GE!

Horrible machine

I am glad they discontinued this model, so no one has to go through the nightmare of owning this machine again. I purchased my home in 2019 through the builder and had them install this washer and matching dryer. The washer vibrates and shakes my house and has shifter several times during a spin cycle. The machine vibrated so much that the plastic latch broke and the machine was stuck in lock. The rubber seal and glass on the door wore out within the first year. GE appliances is pure junk.

Didn't work for us

Didn't last, multiple issues. Lasted about 4.5 years with service and repair along the way. Knob, issues with shocks, smell. To costly to repair this time so replacing with a new appliance

GE should continue making this model.

Great washer and takes up less space than the other models. Motor is very strong during wash and spin. Door needs to be open after use to prevent odors.

DOOR LATCH HAS FAILED TWICE IN 3 MONTHS.

DOOR LATCH FAILED TWICE IN 3 MONTHS. HARD TO GET DOOR OPEN WHEN IT FAILS. CLOTHES WILL BE IN WASHER UNTIL YOU CAN GET A REPAIRMAN.

Works great

It has been working great with out any issues for almost an year. Washes clothes perfectly based on the selection of wash type. But recently started seeing issue with water clogs.

Love it!

Its an awesome washer. Using it right now. I don't see myself buying a new washer anytime soon.

Terrible washer - Do NOT buy

We purchased this washer less than 3 years ago. As others have mentioned, it is loud and has balance and odor issues, but that isn't the worst part. Now, whenever we try to wash a load of clothes, the washer starts the cycle, then stops 1-2 minutes later. It does this continually through the entire washing cycle.

Not so good

I’ve had a good experience in the past with GE but after 3 years with my brand new front loader it broke down. Technician stated it’s too expensive to replace parts and labor and I’m better off buying a new one.

Front load

I needed a new washing machine. A great unit. I love the front load feature.
