I have never used an axe like this. The geometry is unlike any maul or axe I have encountered. I have a good maul that I just sharpened that just bounced off newly cut oak. This axe split it in one swing. The blade is sharper than my kitchen knives and somehow holds the edge really well. You need this axe!

What kind of black magic did they put in this splitter?! I’ve been splitting wood since I was 10 years old. I’m 59 now. I have never had so many one splits of easy splits for that matter. I am not overstating how amazing this splitter is. How did I split so long without it!? I did an insane amount of splitting this am. 2 1/2 hours and a wall of wood to show for it. Best splitting axe.
Would RecommendBest splitting axe I have ever used. The slight wedge on the blade is better than the over aggressive wedges on some other brands. If the wedge is too wide, it can get stuck in oak. The Fiskars slim wedge splits right through oak no problem.

Would RecommendThis is by far the best tool I've found for splitting firewood! Half the weight and twice the swing. It's hollow handle puts very little weight in the right spots. My family burned firewood 20+ years and I've swung about every maul,axe, or hammer and wedge combo you can think of. It's the apex of splitting tools in the right hands.

Would RecommendSharp and ready to use from the factory, and am very impressed by its durability despite not being a traditional wood handle. Had a good few over strikes and you can’t even tell where it got hit.

Like 3x the power
I have had this x27 with 36” handle for at least 8-10years. Gotta say this thing is impressive. No joke, I have literally split over 100 cords by hand with various axes over my life time. This thing just works and works well. When I first started to swing it like my other axe’s, I went through both the pice I was splitting and the chopping block. I still like the feel of a nice wood handle more than composite but I can’t see Fikers making it with a wooden handle lol. Thanks
