Check if your Downrod is threaded or not!
I bought two Fanimation 56” fans, one with a 12” Mount and one with an 18” Mount. For some reason all items were sent to my home except the 18” Mount. Ok I’ll just pick up at the store. Pickup was no problem. Two electricians show up at the house, fan with the 12” rod no problem, Fan with the 18” rod that I had to pick up at the store was Unthreaded. Run to the store, employee says they obviously delivered the 18” Dow rod as unthreaded. She processes a refund and I pick up a generic 18” Down rod...
