Smelly

Burns very slowly and creates a ton of smoke. Makes your house stink. Do not use in your fireplace.

horrible logs

my lowes was out of duraflame logs so i thought id try these. first off i used them in a chiminea thank god because they smoked and smelled like a blown out candle. they do not burn evenly and when you poke them they crumble and then burn very hot. produce a lot of ash. ive used 3 and will probably throw the rest away. do not waste your money,and definitely dont burn in your home unless you want your home smelling like a burning wax candle. horrible product.

Barely burns

When the log is burning it is not much more then a candle, hard to light, no fire place experience it had little to no flame and never became a actual fire. Smolders does not flame. I have had to blow on it at least every 5-10 minutes to keep the flame up.

Seems going green, means making a compromise

I've used these starter logs since I was a boy growing up in the swamps of South Louisiana. I remember on cold balmy mornings my father would pick up a bundle of dura flames on his was home from working the night shift. As always he would let me light the fire, and we would enjoy watching television and sharing stories with each other of out day. I was expecting these logs to maintain the ease of ignition while also doing my part to reduce my carbon footprint. Well, unfortunately I was disappoin...

Short burn

I like that they fire up really fast. However, the logs only burned for about 1-1/2 to 2 hrs.

The absolute worst !

The smoke cloud that thease produce will run your guest running into the house for freash air. Logs will not stay lit. You can see the ads on the log. Its made old nasty cardboard. Good idea, but theses logs are worthless. TWO THUMBS DOWN. :(

Lowes Listing says They are 5 Lb logs in the box but they are 4.3 Lbs. They have been 5lbs for years. They are also burning less than 3 hours

Better than nothing ... but not by a lot

Poor Starting, Messy Afterwards

Doesn’t start easily per the package instructions; usually requires a starter brick. Cleanup is annoying because there is so much ash.

Horrible Smell

They burned easily and lasted a couple of hours. But they smelled so bad until I had to open the windows to let my home air out....defeated the purpose of heating my home. I will not buy them again. They may work better for a outdoor fire pit.

Minimal smell, light easily, decent sized flames

I started to use these because the DuraFlame logs have a very strong smell, bad enough that we usually need to open a window. These Enviro-Logs barely have much of a smell/odor/scent or whatever you want to call it. I will occasionally through a small piece of a DuraFlame log in the existing fire just to make it smell like a fire. As others have said, these leave a lot of ash. They light much easier then real logs. No popping like you have with real logs.

Once these so called "Enviro" logs began to burn, there was more smoke than fire and the smellllll. Help! I completely agree with another buyers review, "they stink like a blown out candle" or chemical mix of trash. They're made from recycled waxed cardboard. So as your intent is for the good of the environment...
