GE SmartSwith Remote Control - Comes On by itself

I purchased the GE mySmartSwith with Remote Control version of the Jassco product 3 weeks ago. It worked fine at firts, but now it turns on in the middle of the night by itself. I called their support number and they said I have to remove the switch and send it back to them and they will evaluate it and send me a new one. NOT HELPFUL and I need my lights to be working and bare wires hanging out the wall while I wait "WEEKS" for them to send me a new swithc.

Absolute garbage that I regret puchasing

Worst decision of my life. I purchased about 25 of these switches to replace pretty much every single switch in my house. Almost every single switch has died. Jasco has replaced about 14 to 18 of my failed switches under warranty, but you still have to remove them and send them back, first. Which means you either have to buy a replacement before you receive their replacement or somehow cap them off so nobody gets electrocuted. No longevity ......

I purchased a total of 10 of these switches, out the 10 all have failed but one. I even had some replaced under warranty and even they have failed. they lasted between 1 to 3 years ..... Is that the serviceable life on these things? Wast of time and money look elsewhere for your smart switches.

Z-Wave Switch

The Z-Wave switch is well constructed and extremely easy to install. The auto detection of the Load/Line is a nice feature giving the home owner the ability to install. The reduced width allows for flexibility when installing next to other switches in a multiple gang configuration. The switch was compatible with my ADT Pulse system and connected seamlessly.

Product Shoddy

bought numerous of these switches. two year lifespan max. of the 20 plus switches in my house, 10 are GE, of those two remain alive. Buy an Eaton or Leviton instead. if I could put zero stars I literally would.

GE Z-Wave Switches failing

I have about 15 of these switches installed around my house. In the past 18 months or so I've had to replace 4 of them at $40+ each. The most recent failure occurred a few weeks ago on a 3 way switch (using a primary and companion setup) that doesn't get any use for months. So it's not wear and tear or being overly used. Now the primary switch has a bleeping blue light that doesn't work manually or via smartthings. I've tried resetting, flipping the breaker and even disconnecting all power....

Failing after 18 months

While updating my home, I purchased 53 of these switches to make my house "Smart" and while I can't deny that when they work, they work great. (They literally only have to turn stuff on and off. Does NOT and WILL NOT Last 2 Years

I had my whole house switches swapped out with GE smart switches. Needless to say, the project ended up being quite expensive with switches costing about $45 each, but I liked the fact that GE switches were Z-Wave Plus rather than wifi. My go-to smart switch

I have around 20 or so of these in my house and am very happy with them. I use SmartThings as my platform and have no issues. This is the new model which lets you reverse load and line but since I am not an idiot I simply wired it correctly. The QR code was a nice way to add the switches.
