Wire inside of the cooktop is burned in 3 months

DO NOT BUY this cooktop, it is totally garbage! The control would change by itself when you are not even touching it. Wire is burned inside of the cooktop within 3 months after installed. We got the cooktop installed on Feb. 1st 2026, it was burned on April 21st 2026. The whole kitchen smelled like burning plastic, and we had to shut off the kitchen power. Easy to install, easy to use, kid safety lock feature, easy to clean

False advertising. Shame on Empava and Lowes.

I decided to step up to an induction cooktop in my new home. I did my research and knew that the size of the burners is important. This Empava 36" cooktop looked like the perfect fit. Once it was installed and I tried it out, I noticed that the 11" center burner only heated an area of about 5.5". I contacted Lowes, who referred me to the manufacturer. This induction cooktop has a sleek appearance and works well for everyday cooking. It heats up quickly, the controls are easy to use, and the surface is simple to clean. I like the dual-burner design because it gives enough space to cook more than one dish at a time. Overall, it is a practical and modern addition to the kitchen.

Size of heating elements are different

The product itself is great, love the look and cooking. The issue was we bought the exact make/model/size just a few years newer but the heating element is larger. Therefore we had to have the stone cut, which delayed everything another week.

Good value for money

I like how well it was packaged for shipment, ease of cleaning after use, functionality is easy to understand, and in general seems to keep the temperature range effectively.

Nice cooktop, easy install and works great so far. It is a little more noisy then electric due to the induction style burners and the cooling fans below the countertop

Incorrect Product Description

Product description states power source is "plug in" when in actuality it is "hard wired".

It has a nice size cooking surface for a portable.
