This little machine is an excellent way to keep up with all the little cleanups around the house especially in hard to reach areas where a larger vacuum might have trouble maneuvering. Light weight and powerful. Cleaning head is self clearing of most hair.

Works great...until it doesn't
Would Not RecommendI've owned this vacuum for a few years. It is great at its job until it stops working. I've replaced the battery twice (so a total of 3 batteries) and had to replace the charger once. A Dyson battery runs about $135 each and the charger was about $40. Last week, it stopped working again and I refuse to continue to put money into it. I tossed it into the garbage and purchased another brand of cordless vac...there are many other brands available.

The rechargeable battery dies long before it does
Would RecommendWe have 4 dogs. One is a husky. Her nickname is "Fur Bucket." We use the Pet Stick to help tackle this home maintenance issue. This is our 2nd purchase of this product. The rechargeable battery died on the 1st one. I have not yet figured out if the battery can be purchased separately and replaced. If so, I'll do that and we'll have a dedicated Dyson for the basement.

Would RecommendThis model has great suction and better battery life than most other brands that I've used. There are two things I think would improve the vacuum. A light on the motorbar head would make it easier to see any dust. Also having to hold the trigger constantly is inconvenient. Perhaps more of a toggle switch to turn on and stay on.

Would RecommendThis is our second Dyson cordless - this is our first V8. We love it! Quieter, more powerful, extra attachments...what's not to love. Some complain about the battery life, but we already know about that issue and it's non-issue for us - we take breaks during the charging times. We haven't had the V-8 long but I do believe it has better suction power. The filter system is better and traps more dust and dirt than our older model. How did we ever get along without Dyson cordless?

I absolutely LOVE the Dyson It is very difficult for me to take apart to empty- in fact I can’t do it at all- my husband has to empty for me. Also the battery doesn’t last very long at all.

Dyson does make a great vacuum
This v8 is my second one, we had a v7 before for 10 years, The v8 is great, but a fully charged battery only lasts 15 minutes. The first two weeks it last about 25 minutes I have had the v8 for three weeks

Horrible Battery Life
Would Not RecommendFor the price I paid I would expect the battery to last longer than 15 minutes. Then it takes 3 to 4 hours to charge. And I just got it. Don’t waste your money.
