4000-3/34 High Performance Rotary Review

I bought this from Lowe’s when they had a sale. My first use was to do some cutting on a pistol holster to modify it to fit one of my guns. The Dremel and I completed the task very well. As I was using the Dremel, I was amazed that is was so easy and did the job so well. I also sanded some of the rough edges and it performed perfectly. Honestly, I don’t know how I got along without the Dremel! Excellent Product.

Just the power I was looking for.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought my 4000 in June of 23 to use alongside my Dremel 4300. I do carving and use the flex shaft attachment. After breaking a few flex shafts, I realized that they always seem to break at the shaft end when they get too hot, which is about 2 hours of continuous use. I think the heat weakens the inner core of the flex shaft, and it snaps. So now I use the 4300 for an hour, then switch to the 4000. Problem solved. Something I also noticed...

How did I get along without it?

When I started repairing guitars I watched many youtube videos where people where using the dremel rotary tool and figured it could be useful. I didn't realize how useful and for so many different uses until I had it in my hands. I wouldn't ever want to be without it again.

The King of Rotary Tools

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had my Dremel 4000 Corded Rotary Tool for more than 14 years now. It is the most versatile piece of equipment I have ever used. It is also easy to maintain, and has been going strong for all these years. Whatever the task, sanding, polishing, cutting, drilling, milling, sharpening, you name it and the 4000 can handle it.

Amazing little tool!

This rotary tool makes life easy when it comes to precise cuts where other tools just are too bulky for the job. My dremmel 4000 gets used to do guitar fretwork polish, to do bonsai shaping as well as cutting metal.

Great for light crafting

Great Tool for Every Task

Great tool for Small Projects

Dremel 4000 is Great!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great tool. The 4000 has plenty of power. I have used this tool quite a bit and have had no issues with it. I even used it to carve a project using Brazilian Cherry (Jatoba), which is a very hard wood and the 4000 performed flawlessly. I love this tool!

GARBAGE kit, the tool is good

The tool works great, but the kit it comes with is just a garbage mess. It all falls everywhere, it's all cheap plastic pieces. It doesn't remind me of the quality that existed before. You put everything in it's proper place, pick up the case and it sounds like a falling toolbox as everything you put away becomes a gigantic mess. DO NOT BUY THIS IF YOU LIKE ORGANIZED THINGS.

Handy little tool

Have had this deemed for a year and a half works great for small detail machining on a number of custom parts I fabricate

Love this tool

I have this and the cordless and have to say this is my go to. I used for light grinding, and many sanding projects. It has had the power to complete projects. Most recently used for cutting holes in plastic torage boxes for use as feral cat hiding boxes. Cut thru like butter with a smoothe edge. For the first cuts that were a bit ragged I used this with the sanding attachment to smooth the edges. A great tool to keep as a part of your overal project help

HAPPY WITH IT

Not reliable

I have both the Dremel 4000 and 3000. After about 3 days of short use the Dremel 3000 will only run at the highest speed, but it will turn on and off. The Dremel 4000 worked for about six months of very limited use but now it wont turn on at all. Out of two Dremel rotary tools purchase at the same time only one partially works and the other not at all. It looks as though Dremel quality no longer exists. Will have to look for alternative brand to replace my Dremel tools.
