Stuck open, unable to close... like many others

Bought this to easily transport my 12" Dewalt Miter saw despite seeing some bad reviews on its ability to fold down. Figured those were folks who received a bad product. Within days of using the product, it started to become hard to collapse. Now that it has been about five months, I cannot get it to fold down any longer at all. It is stuck open. Good. Could be better

I've worked in a couple small shops that have this stand, so had a lot of experience with it before buying one for myself. It works exactly as it should, I haven't had any of the durability issues mentioned in other reviews. That said there's a couple things I'd like to see that keep it from being better: It's pretty heavy. Like to the point it's unsafe to load into/out of a truck bed alone. The arms come loose during cuts often and there's no clear or straightforward way to add an aftermark...

Great idea, poor desing.

I have two of theses and I have had problems with the collapsing mechanism with both of them. It's a poor design from Dewalt. They should do a recall on these. I hate when I am loosing time on the job because of broken tools.

Dewalt offer some upgrades!

WASTE OF MONEY

I purchased one of these stands last year worked for a couple months then the locking mechanism that lowers the stand down wouldn't unlatch. I reached out to dewalt and the sent me another stand brand New only used it 2 times and the same problem the locking mechanism is junk and the arms were hard to pull out. WASTE OF MONEY!!!!!! It went right to the scrap yard.

Stand will not collapse

I have had this stand for over a year and have yet to get it to collapse. Have read other reviews to try to get it to work. Nothing has worked so far. Well built, but to bad it does not work. I have found nothing on the DeWalt website that addresses this issue

Trouble collapsing

Current model variant is NOT worth your money

My first experience with this stand influenced my purchase, especially the nice roller supports built into the stand arms. Sadly, that experience was with an earlier model that DeWalt has since revised into a cheaper, lower quality model with significantly worse features...for a higher price. Because of course they have. Release Mechanism Crap

rolling miter stand

I purchased this stand and a 12" sliding compound miter saw. The stands features overall are great , the issue I have is the stand won't close . I returned the first one I purchased and the second one closes sometimes . I would not recommend this stand due to this issue .

Great Product

This is a great product, heavy duty design, easy to put together and the miter saw was easy to install. And yes, once raised, the stand would not lower. However, this product has cables that release the locks so that it can lower. Great for limited space and transport

I am an HVAC tech and do woodworking as a hobby. This rolling stand is easy to transport in and out of the garage. It is extremely durable and well built. It is hefty but it’s still easy to maneuver. I read some reviews on the stand not lowering properly or dropping suddenly but I haven’t had that issue in the 6 months I’ve had it.

Will not Collapse!!!

Same problem everyone else is having! Poor design on the locking/unlocking collapse system!
