Awesome product....probably the best!!! Mine fell from a height, hitting concrete....after 7 years of joy......please bring back the DCF680, i cant find any anywhere 😭

A Clever Design with Decent Power

This has to be the best tool in the industry for doing automotive interior trim without causing any damage to the panels or the hardware. Has plenty of muscle, no internal hammer and uses a slower rotation to help avoid cross threading machine screws and cracking plastic panels. The greatest small screwdriver I have ever used. The gyroscopic action of this thing is absolutely amazing. I didn't quite know what to expect when i bought it, I just needed a small electric screwdriver for detail work. It took me a minute to get used to the gyro action. this dewalt 8v power screwdriver stopped working after only a few months with no replacement available I am forced to find an alternative

Must have in your toolbox

This is my favorite tool. Around the house it is almost a must. It is so versatile and has so many uses. It takes a little getting used to but i wouldn't be without it.

Seriously Disappointed!!!!

This is my second one of these. The first one I bought was the first time they came out about 10 years ago. Still works fine but the batteries are old and wouldn't hold a charge. Bought a new one since it was cheaper than buying the batteries. The new has been back for repairs 3 times in one year due to a failure in the gyroscopic switch. It's about to go back again and I just got it back 3 months ago. Mind you I only use it a couple of times per week and the tool still looks brand new. So disap...

Bad quality

I had 4 of these replaced in 3 months. When it works its great. Butt this is a joke. Iam over to milwaukee because the quality of dewalt is not oké. Butt i see iam not the only one. And i see reviews from 6 years ago. Then iam thinking what are you guys did the lost 6 years not be able to fix this

Great go to tool .

My go to tool, gets 90% of the jobs done, drive screws in or electrical work. Barely need a stronger tool. Torque clutch is great, gives confidence you are not going to break delicate or old equipment. The gyro is very helpful, saves you from using button.

Works intermittently

I bought this in October of 2024 for just basic home needs. It is now December of 2024 and the button on the tool will work intermittently. I have to keep pressing it for the Gryo to finally work.

Did not like the item.

The gyroscopic feature of forward and reverse was very difficult to use. It didn't have enough torque to get the screw all the way into the wood. Returned item.

Great tool- battery contacts loose, easy to fix.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is an awesome product with a common failure mode that is easy to fix but drives you nuts if you don’t know about it: the contacts of the battery come loose and it doesn’t activate the gyro reliably. 100% fix from Reddit is you just bend out the contacts on the battery a little bit and it works like a dream. Dewalt needs to fix this, but trivially easy to do on your own—so, in the end, it is a ‘yes, buy it’

Great electric screwdriver

Having a job where I must open up to 288 small boxes with four screws each, this tool is an arm saver. Easy to stow, adjustable form factor with an adjustable torque settings. Enough power to drill small holes and seat screws for a week on a charge. I have to buy another since my wife stole my work one.

I've been using this tool for a couple years now. I found it on the display Shelf with a battery so I was able to test it out. I purchased it immediately for full price I liked it so much.
