I have had a Cuisinart toaster for years, so wanted another one like it. This one almost matches. The bagel side on this one is a waste. Other one toasted only the cut side. This one does both, so the bagel button is a waste. Other than that, it is a good toaster so far.

Half Toast
Would Not RecommendI puchased this toaster becase of the cuisinart name. My previous toaster was a cuisinart which I had for 30 yrs, therefore I was Mistakingly expecting a quality toaster. In use less than a month and now only the bottom half of the bread toasts. I guess im stuck with it for now, researching a replacement.

Poor quality
The toasting is very uneven. One side of the bread is very dark and the other is barely toasted. Many reviewers have said the same thing. I do not recommend this toaster. I don't understand why Cuisinart would endanger its reputation by producing an item that performs so poorly. . Unfortunately this seems to be a common theme among all toasters.

Would RecommendSturdy, well proportioned and heats evenly. The only thing I would change is to put more tension on the knobs that set the time/shade so that they don't move so freely.

Great toaster
I find the “handles” very useful because you can lift them up and it helps get the toast out of the toaster. I also appreciate separate buttons for a bagel and to cancel or abort the toasting process.
