Would RecommendI bought a bunch of the grill pads to place around my fire pit on my composite decking. They lay flat and protect the deck from any coals that may snap out of the pit. Traction is good even when wet. I placed one mat on the deck, placed paver blocks on top, then my fire pit. The remaining mats were placed around the fire pit on the deck. Works like a charm! The pads are thick enough to prevent damage, but thin enough to cut of you needed to. Quality product.
