Would RecommendThe tools thqt you need include a screwdriver and possibly a ladder, and that's it. The one screw that you remove to access the battery accepts either a Philips or flat screwdriver. Terminals are color coded and size differentiated making incorrect installation essentially impossible. Leads push onto terminals. Easy to install is an understatement. Immediately stopped low charge alert. Impressive experience. Can't go wrong with Chamberlain!

Garage door batery backup
My garage does not have a "From House" entry, so having the battery backup is very important to me in times of a power outage. I live in Arizona and the summer heat can really do a number on batteries. I find that this battery will hold up about 18 to 24 months which is adequate for my needs considering it can easily get to 100 degrees in the garage.
