Oil base stains are getting harder to get due to EPA regulations. More and more water base products are on the market. I feel this Cabot stain really penetrates the wood very well. I applied this product to pressure treated pine which I waited for 3 months before pressure cleaning with Cabot deck wash. Overall I am pleased with final results. I did the complete job by myself and it would have gone a little smoother / easier it I had someone helping me. I was in full sun and although temperatures...

Pecan “color” it is so lightly pigmented that you cannot even see it, at least on both pine and oak. I did half of a pine door and the only way to tell the difference was to feel for the raised grain. Just a heads up regarding the color.
