Crap

It is a real good looking item in my workshop, however that is where it stops. When running it powers our 50 watt RV when using only one ac unit. The problem is every time I go to use it something has to be fixed piece of crap. It has more service hours then it does running time

Craftsman 5000 generator

Set a couple years with fuel shut off tired to start wouldn't cleaned carb found a small piece of dirt in the jet ..runs like a champ now Briggs and straton 10 hp.

Reliable But Loud

I live in Maine, so a generator is a must for me. This is a good generator for what i need it for. I can run a 55" TV, my fridge, microwave, an electric fireplace, a smaller heater for upstairs, and a couple of lamps. Not bad for the price. It is loud though, and the carbon dioxide sensor is a pain. I had to point the muffler away from the building and place it like 10' away from the house. Overall pretty satisfied.

Great mid range Generator

I purchased this during a blackout on one of the year's hottest days. It works great and is easy to set up out of the box.

Bad motor

Bought this generator used it a few times used it on the previous weekend ran great came out the following weekend started it backfired caught the carburetor filter on fire. Sounds like it has a stuck valve :(

Generator 5000 WATT

This is my first generator, but not my first craftsman product. So far, everything I have bought that is craftsman stands with a high quality and very long lasting. This product is very well built, haven't used it yet, but knowing craftsman, it will do its job very well.

I live in Florida and with the most recent hurricane Ian I have been running my whole home with miner on and off of the breakers switching for range to AC no water heater but this is Florida no hat water needed love my generator

The generator runs, but does not produce any electricity, so it is useless.

Solid

So, luckily, I haven’t had to use it, but it cranked right up. Not hard to pull. Wheel assembly kit was easy to install and it’s easy to move around. It’s a heavy unit. Not to heavy to move around, but heavy enough it doesn’t travel while running.

Great Product.

Bought due to recent power outage. Ran for 6 days straight ( only cut off to refuel). No issues, rums smooth, starts easy. Very happy with the purchase so far. Make sure you download watt usage of your appliances so you dont overload it. This goes qith any generator. Keep the oil changed and drain gas for long term storage you should have no issues.

Bad GFCI

Bad GFCI outlet . There is no warranty support in Cocke County TN they want me to drive it 45 miles each to have it looked at ? 90 mil;es round trip

Good bargain

Pros Assembles easy, doesn’t require choke unless outside temps are below 50 degrees. Isn’t the loudest, and has performed well for three weeks. Would buy again. Cons wish it idled down when not being used.

Not Dependable

I need a generator to keep medicine cold, and our neighborhood loses power a lot during storms. This product started for me out of the box the first time I needed it shortly after the pandemic began. The second time our house lost power, it would not start. This was a critical moment because my child's medicine needs to stay cold. I spent two more Saturday's trying to start this generator, watching YouTube videos, asking neighbors for help etc. Still doesn't start. Don't buy this product. I have...
