bought SAE & MM V-Series 1/2 drive 13 pc sets
Would RecommendBought both sets on sale. Sockets look good. Haven't used yet, but they should be fine for working on vehicles. Magnetic holders, not so great. Placed them in my 3 drawer Craftsman box. They fit fine. The magnets are strong, but on the MM set, the first time I tried to remove a socket the whole frame lifted off leaving the magnets stuck to the drawer bottom. I'll have to glue them back to the frame. Also, They hold the sockets awful tight until they get worn in. Had no problem with the SAE set.

Outstanding quality
Would RecommendFirst thing I got to say is that I found a fantastic deal at a bigger Lowe's an hour from me. It was 75% off so for The metric was 65-70%. The quality is outstanding and the rail seems good. If the rail were to ever break one can always find another rail. I haven't used the 1/2 drive yet, but have used the 3/8" and this is the top of the line Craftsman socket set, which I believe is no longer made. I own a 12 point set (not V-series) and now the 1/2 shallow and deep 6 points.

Poor glue quality.

Would RecommendThese sockets have all the features of a top of the line professional socket set, plus an outstanding annodized aluminum magnetic tray. Thick chrome, heft, protective interior coating, smooth bevels and transitions, step down at the base, deep, clear engraving, all the key sizes. Just a great set of sockets that will last a lifetime. Lowe’s just holds themselves to a higher standard than a typical box store when it comes to hand tools, and that’s why it’s one of my favorite places to shop.

Would RecommendThese sockets are fantastic. Thick chrome. Plenty of heft. Protective interior coating. Step down at the base with smooth transitions to the business end. These are all professional socket features you never get at these price points. From the original Williams made Kobalt to now, Lowe’s does not mess around when it comes to hand tools. These are no different. Excellent sockets!
