One of the batteries didn't work went to return it and was given a raft of crap as why I had to send it back to Craftsman's when I just purchased it at Lowes yesterday.

Craftsman is no longer worth its name

While this is not the brushless, higher quality drill I would have expected better. This product began to fail with a few light duty uses. While this would be acceptable as Craftsman was quick to send me a replacement, it is the second Craftsman product I have bought in the last few years that has failed fast. Craftsman no longer makes high quality products and I will not be purchasing more in the future.

These tools are durable and easy to use.

Liked the price. Like the color of the tools. Like the power of the saw and the drill. The bag for the tools is cheap with a weak zipper.

Good Saw not Great

The saw has some flex and allows the blade to wander from the cut line indicator on the shoe. This flex also makes it hard to have a straight smooth cut specifically when holding the shoe against a straight edge. I wish Craftsman had a 6.5 in saw that had an aluminum shoe and a more stable connectection between the motor and the shoe to reduce this flex, even at a higher price point.

2min of action and it broke

Saw it on sale and seeing mostly positive reviews i decided to buy it. This morning I decided to put it to use, o would consider it light to medium use drilling through 2 stacked 1x3 boards. 1,2,3,4th hole I was like man this drill is nice, then on the 5th hole it seized up and didn't want to move in either direction. Pulled it out and on 2nd speed it's a no go, on 1st it turns but saying it's struggling is an understatement. In all honesty I don't even know if I want s replacement, since it...

Broken out of the box

I have other craftsman power tools that work fine, but this one out of the box smelled of burnt metal and sparked heavily when used. Normally with brush motor tools you'd be able to use them for a while before they start to crap out but this one immediately had those signs out of the box. very dissapointing.

Great light (needs something)

I love this light. It's lasts forever on a single charge. The drop test is unreal. You can't kill it. There are only 3 things I'd change. I'd add magnetic mounting, a swivel head and more downward tilting range.

Consider this

A couple problems: The light does not shine on the screw making the task of mating the bit to the screw difficult in dark places. The bit does not hold unless you set the torque high when installing the bit. There is no holster for an extra bit. Battery life is good enough for residential moderate usage.

Love Lost

My V20 Cordless Drill/Driver was my first purchase in the series. As a DIY person, it was exactly what I needed. Not as good my old craftsman evolv

In 2012 i got a craftsman evolv cordless drill. That thing was great for 9 years (light duty, household use), until the battery finally wore out. I couldn't get a replacement and had to to buy a whole new drill. I love trashing a tool so that craftsman can make more money. The CMCD700 is terrible in comparison. New Favorite!

My personal experience with this impact has been great! So for starters.. I work construction 6-7 days each week.
