The specs state it has this capability but after getting it home I soon realized it can only be started manually. When I returned it to Lowes, the manager stated I would have to modify the tiller for electric starting and when I stated that would not be possible, she argued that it was possible. Would RecommendExcellent tiller especially for the price and the added torque of a 4 cycle engine. Goes through roots (plant and tree), clay soil, and dead grass like a champ. I’ve never had any trouble starting it from a cold or warm state. Followed the instructions for pulling the cord for the specified number of times at the different choke positions and prime until you see gas in the bubble or it’s guaranteed to flood like any other engine.
