closing down USA hand tool factory
Would Not RecommendI decided to give Craftsman another shot after they committed to produce USA hand tools. I started to buy more craftsman products including non USA tools to support a company that was "committed to bringing it back to USA" while I waited on the coming soon hand tools. Well...they closed the manufacturing facility before they even got many tools to retail. Disappointed, now not much reason to buy any Craftsman really.
Needed tools so found this on sale and was perfect.

Socket driver failure
Would Not RecommendAll 2 socket drivers locked up within the first use, and the 3rd locked up on the second use. Alright, 1 failure I can forgive, they sent me a new driver and got it within 10 days. 2 failures tells me it may be a bad design. 3 failures makes a 100% failure rate in my set within 2 uses. This was all very light work, nothing remotely stressful for a set of tools. Craftsman tools are not what they used to be. I have Craftsman socket drivers that are at least 30 maybe 40 years old that my dad gave...

Would RecommendWell, sad to say, but not near the quality that my very old craftsman tools are. But it still has the Craftsman name on it and they have always stood by their warranty. All in all, were the buy!

Would RecommendFor that DYI mechanic this has almost everything you need for small mechanical jobs. Can’t beat for the price for what you get just wish it had longer extensions can buy exta extensions for roughly around $25 or $30 fo a pack of four or five depending on 1/4 3/8 or 1/2.
