Would not recommend

I would not recommend this flooring to my worst enemy. It laid horrible, after having it for about 4months, most of the locks have pretty much broke and I have pieces already lifting. I have many pieces that are breaking and peeling. I have had this flooring just over 3 years now and it is not worth it. I have laid many types of flooring and have never had these issues. I would say that I will have to fully replace in the near future. Not worth the time or money.

HORRIBLE

I installed this flooring in 2021 and had the same issues as others in this thread. Cali sent out their own inspector, will not warranty. Floors are coming up at the seams and are separating. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. Lowe’s would also not help me.

Terrible

I put this flooring in my entire 1650 sf home just a little over a year ago and am having the same problems as Michelle stated in her October 25,2024 review. The locking system is failing on several planks and they are separating. The edges have pulled up on several pieces and I actually cut my toe on one really badly the other day. We paid $16,000 for this flooring and the installation and I am so upset.

beutiful but flawed click lock system

We have had these floors for 2 years and though I love the look of them the planks are lifting and slightly separating at the seams in multiple areas. We are about to replace other flooring and though I want it all to match I am hesitant to re-purchase this.

Open boxes before leaving the store.

Ordered 5 extra boxes only two of the boxes were ok the ends of each box was damaged when I had Lowe's open the boxes the the majority of the planks were damaged. At $92 a box there shouldn't of been a problem.

check product carefully - caveat emptor

ordered 5 boxes,... in 1 box, the ends of all 10 planks were destroyed, (we left that one there), other boxes showed damage, but needed to get home. found many more damaged planks, but the pros installing it were able to work around problems by using them as cut ends. a full box was returned, and there were bad ones in there. problems have to be at the origin, and or with shipping. I would add pix, but that part of the review doesn't seem to be working. go figure.

Give me my money back

We ordered this flooring as we had done in the past to be delivered. We never received the flooring. After receiving a delivered notification with flooring nowhere to be found, we called the company. They said it had been delivered and signed for by some other name. We are still trying to get our money refunded as promised. It has been 2 months. Never again with this company. cali floors

this product is perfect , good quality and strong looks better then real wood even , the bump and difference in color make it seem as the floors were made from an entire natural forest , absolutely love it

Very pretty and smooth finish

I am planning to replace the flooring in my finished basement and wanted to be able to see what it would look like so I ordered this sample. I'm glad I did because it's really pretty. The sample has shade variations which make it very attractive. I wanted a light color and this is light but the shade variations which are slightly darker make it much more interesting. Looks very much like natural wood.

The color and pattern were exactly what we were looking for. Installation was fast and efficient; our 300 sq. ft. room took only six hours including carpet tear out and moving furniture. The vinyl planking appears to be very durable and looks good in our room.

Locking mechanism failure

Great color: Check Great texture: Check Random enough pattern: Check Locking mechanism: Failure. Ordered 10 boxes and the locking mechanism was defective that when you put the pieces together they would not lay flat. The planks would literally rock back and forth forming more of a V shape. Tried 7 random planks from different boxes and they all had this defect and was not willing to go through all 100 pieces to see if they all had this problem. Good product for the price.

Product looks great. Somewhat easy to dyi. Installation of first 2-3 rows requires care since the slight bending of planks prevent immediate locking.

very fragile product

Definitely the most frustrating DIY project I've ever done, and I've done a lot. 30% of the planks arrived damaged. Even those that appeared pristine were difficult to work with and the connections often cracked during installation. The floor looks good, but due to the fragility of the product, I don't think it will last long. Hardwood is much, much easier to install.

Thin, dent easily, just NO!!

I bought these floors as they were the closest match to pre-existing floors in a house we bought. The pre-existing floors were discontinued so we searched for the best match we could find and we were delighted how close these floors were! That was the only good part. They are super thin. I am worried about my dogs as they age. We will have to put down more rugs. Denting. CRAZY. We've had these floors installed for less than a month and there are several spots where they are dented and scratch...
