Beautiful machine, fast, easy setup but it draws so much power on start-up that it immediately throws the Arc Fault Circuit Breaker to my office so that I have to plug it in in another room that doesn't have such a breaker; using a large extension cord. Firmware is up-to-date. Suggested solutions useless so far. Annoying.

This printer kept falling off of our DECO mesh network, so after a lot of troubleshooting we set it up on its own (simpler, IoT-dedicated with reduced security, no spicy settings, etc.) network. When it's asleep, the Brother app on our Windows 11 PC always shows it as offline (not "Asleep") until we send a print job, which usually works to wake it up. Usually. Compact Color Printer
This is a compact color printer. I printed about 500 pages over the course of a week and had to quickly replace all 4 toner cartridges (for a similar cost to the entire printer). That was disappointing. Also, the double-sided feature of the printer was critical to my use case. It works fine for regular paper, but jams every.single.time I need to print cardstock double-sided. From HP to Brother!
We finally ditched our HP and love our new Brother printer! The installation and setup was a breeze, and most importantly, the print quality is on point. So far, it’s been great not dealing with maintenance of ink cartridges like the old printer. Couldn’t be happier with this purchase 👍🏽

Works Great with Apple , Crap with Windows 11
The software to make this printer work is TERRIBLE for Windows 11. 4 hrs to get the darn thing to function with a HP laptop. However, both our Apple phones and i-Mac computer linked up effortlessly. As a repeat Brother printer customer, we are happy that it has higher paper capacity than our prior. Very annoyed with the software updates/sales solicitations too. Trouble from the Start
I replaced an older model Brother that was on my Wi-Fi network. After hours of trial and error and consulting two AI helpers, I was told it would not work with my Eero system. I had to run a ethernet cord to the printer to get it to work. I was disappointed but thought I could live with it. I proceeded to print a large B&W job with the printer setup on monochrome.
