What Customers Are Saying
The product is a versatile and effective putty that works well as a wood filler, drying quickly and being easy to sand. Many users praise its strength and durability, noting it holds up over time even in outdoor and high-wear environments. However, some caution it can be challenging to work with, as it hardens quickly and requires careful mixing and application. A few also mentioned the strong fumes as a potential downside, and some felt the instructions could be clearer.

Would RecommendOur house is from 1794 by the coast in MA. The product has been great patching issues and transitioning between old wood and new. Some of the repairs are 5 years old and there are no issues. Process: remove rot and damaged areas: fill, shape, two coats of good oil primer, top coat.

Bondo for wood repair
Works well in that it fills voids well. Hardens well, and is drillible. Sands well. Only problem found is that it has to be put on very thinly or it will sag.

Instructions could be better.
It would be nice to have a weight ration for the mix.

It’s Bondo
Would RecommendI originally thought this was the same as automotive bondo, which it might be, but it works great.

Can is 5/8 full
Would Not RecommendPay 27 bucks for a can advertised as being 28 ozs and open up the can to see it less full than they were a few years ago. Trying to patch a large hole in wood and directions say 1/2 thick per application That is easy when one can just skims the surface.
This stuff will kill you
I have figured that this was an issue from the beginning, but the last two days have solidified it. I will never use Bondo All-Purpose again. I can use JB Weld Wood Restore all day without problem with moderate ventilation, but due to supply chain issues, I had to switch to Bondo. Even with good ventilation and a respirator, I end up passing out for several hours after doing minimal spreading. I'm talking three seams between paneling. Bondo All Purpose is too thick, cures too fast, and the fume...

Easy to shape and mold into profiles
Would RecommendI used this produce to fill the gaps between precast cement columns bases and it was easily to fill cracks and after quickly curing it was sandable and easy to shape to match profiles.

Stinky but excellent
Would RecommendBondo is the best. It’s stinky to use but so effective.
World's Greatest Wood Filler
You can't beat this stuff as a wood filler. It dries quickly, does not shrink and sands easily to a smooth finish. The only downside is keeping up with the tube of hardener after the first use. I just taped it to the can (or store it in the cap).
