What Customers Are Saying
The Blue Hawk tarp appears to be a mixed product. Many customers found it durable and effective at covering and protecting various items, highlighting its large size, waterproof capabilities, and ease of use. However, a significant number reported poor quality, with issues like rips, tears, and grommets falling off even with light use. The tarp seems suitable for basic, short-term uses, but may not be sturdy enough for heavy-duty, long-term applications or severe weather conditions.
Customer review summary generated by AI, including incentivized reviews. The Blue Hawk tarp has very good coverage. My main purchase was the 12 foot X 10 foot Cedar Deck Cabana # A102005804 that was delivered by FedEx on a pallet that grossed-out at 536 lbs. I am in the process of installing the cabana on my deck, between rain and snow fall. This is a excellent product and a good value for me, as I used my Military discount on this purchase. Tarp
Would RecommendThis tarp isn't as thick as the one I have but it strong and sturdy. It does the job of keeping water/rain off my deck things.
Good lightweight tarp
Would RecommendUsing it over an outdoor pipe-frame shelter and it works great.
Excavator Cover
Would RecommendThis tarp is used to cover the cab on my excavator during the rainy season. The grommets seem strong enough to withstand heavy wintertime winds.
Tarp to cover patio furniture
Would RecommendIt's a good tarp and will do the job quite well. I bought mid weight tarp. It is bigger than I needed - next time I'd get a small one.
10+Days
Would RecommendI covered 2/3 of garden area with my new tarp and for 11/2 weeks it is working. We had a little rain and 3 days of really windy weather in that time and the tarp did his job, no tears or holes. I will know more with the cold and rainy weather next month. Looks and feels well made. For now, I would say buy it neighbor, Lowe's is not going any where soon!!
Tarp
Would RecommendThe wife and I have been living in the in-laws basement since the eviction, until last week, When they threw me out. I purchased this tarp for cover in the park and it has been great. I would highly recommend this tarp. In fact three of us (Joe, Jessi, and myself) huddle up beneath It every night, and remain dry. If you live in the Chicago area you know it’s been quite wet lately. Anyways if you need a tarp this is it, strong ,durable, with a homey feel.
Disappointing, Tears Easily at The Grommets
Would Not RecommendBought this tarp to cover my roof after some hurricane damage until I could get the roof replaced. I nailed it snugly to the roof using roofing nails with plastic washers. After about a week, I checked on it and the tarp was torn at the grommets, as a result of the tension, in multiple places. This is unacceptab;e for a any tarp. There were no high winds during this time and I had place 4x4s and 2x4s on the in side of edges. Tarps from Harbor Freight are better quality.
Good inexpensive tarp
Would RecommendA good value, and supplied curbside pickup promptly.
Keep replacing
Would Not RecommendDepends what your use is for! Short term: Great, it will last you the 3-6 months depending on conditions. Long term (which I use it for): Bad. We replace this tarp a few times 1-2 times per year to cover up some storage. The plastic degrades in the sun (that's why in the short term I said depending on conditions) and holes/tears will easily begin to happen with the combination of the sun and winds. The metal rings are nice until the plastic gives away, and then whatever you used those rings f...
DO NOT BUY!!
Would Not Recommendhusband purchased to cover his car...after a month it fell apart...he went to lowes and they refused to refund him because their refund policy changed 6 months ago...even though the receipt says 90 days...
Excellent!
Would RecommendThis is the second one I've purchased for a leaky roof that has become shaped like a bowl, so water just sits in the middle. The roof section is 25x30, so I can fold it in half and get two later coverage that lasts for 9 months. Other tarps don't last nearly that long, in the blazing sun, which hits it all day. At the price I paid, it is well-worth the price, for the protection it provides. I use it with the blue side facing the sun. After trying so many different tarps, I highly recommend t...
Think twice
Would Not RecommendIn less than 24 hours 3 grommets have ripped from the tarp. If you’re looking for an extended use tarp, Like more than a few days, look elsewhere.
Price and item not honored
Would Not RecommendI bought online and it said it was available for a clearance price then an associate called me and told me it’s not available anymore but it is still offered online for sale so they didn’t want to honor the item for the price
Good cover
Would RecommendBought this tarp to cover a pile of dirt and keep it dry with all the rain we’ve had and it has worked great.
