I have purchased this same rope many times. Only once did the salesperson measure out the actual length that I had requested. Majority of the time the salesperson would just lay it out on the floor and guess on the length. One time the salesperson measured across the shelf of the department and cut the rope quite a bit short (7' when I had asked for 10').
