We used probably ounce a month after purchasing june, , it sat over winter on the charger,, and now this spring, the battery doesn't last more than 5 minutes.

Lightweight and easy on my hands

I bought this 20V weedeater to supplement my 18V B&D that I’ve used for 10 years to keep the vinca surrounding our lawn pathway areas under control quickly and easily. I keep replacing the 18V batteries, too, so now my 11 yr old grandson and I can eat some weeds together.

Only lasts one season!

I am an older woman who bought this product because it is light weight and I had had one that lasted a long time. I bought this new one last year and now it does not work. The batteries are good and work in other items. I am ready to buy a different brand.

Cordless trimmer

I have had B&D cordless trimmers for many years. They get the job done and have lasted me a long time.

Built to last trimmers.

I've purchased my third black and decker trimmer in 24 years and I can safely say they are built to last. My third one the 20v cordless trimmer is a work horse and the battery has been reliable and hard working. Strongly recommend this 20v black and decker trimmer.

Great product

This is a dependable trimmer. Light enough to carry but does the whole yard with no effort. Would strongly recommend this product!

great long lasting tool

I have used this for over 5 years with no serious issues. I've replaced the batteries but that is to be expected. As mentioned in other reviews it does fine on medium and less grass, but not so much on heavy items. I am downgradeing it one star because the auto feed has started not to work.

Work well on common weeds

My wife and I find this trimmer to be mote than capable of completing the tasks we have for it around our yard. I easily cuts though 1/2 inch thistle and other weeds.

Decent Trimmer for the Money

This is my second Black and Decker String trimmer. The first lasted over 7 years, so I'm hopeful this will match that. This model has two speeds, which my first did not. I found out the hard way that the high speed chews through string at a high rate. That speed is not for everyday use unless you like buying string. The adjustment on the handle is a step up. The 2.5 Amp battery is also an improvement over the old 2.0 Amp battery. I was tempted to try the easy-feed system but went back to ...

Great weed eater/edger

This is the 2nd one of these I have owned. Pretty much ran the first one into oblivion. This is light weight and easy to handle. The batteries on the first one lasted almost the entire 12 years I owned it. If the 2nd one is as good as the first one, I should have another 12 years of reliable weed eating. This will not disappoint.

Great little trimmer

I just got this trimmer this fall and I love it so far... except the battery could be a little bigger. it would be nice if it came with two batteries but oh well. Its lightweight, its easy to hold. the handle adjusts and folds for easy storage. and I love that the head rotates to change from trimmer to edger with just a click.

2nd purchase of this unit. Works like its designed

Junk

What a Pc of junk with a capital J. I had my first wacker for 2 seasons, then after cutting for 4 or 5 feet it would quit, over and over. Decided it must be time for a new one. Brought one home from the store and the battery charger wouldn't work. Took it back and got a replacement. It worked almost 1 Summer (I have a small yard and only wack maybe twice a month).guess what? Same problem, only ran for a few feet at a time. I don't have time for this, I'm done

Always clean this equipment after using it

I have used one just like this for 6 years and it finally died - hope this one lasts as long.

Cheap plastic garbage

The trigger mechanism has repeatedly stopped engaging the button to activate the trimmer. I tried to fix it, but the inside is all made of cheap plastic. It simply bends away when the trigger depresses the button. Very poorly made. I will be transitioning away from the Black & Decker brand over this cheaply made item

Black and Decker 20V Weed Eater

Bought the same weed eater years ago. Light weight and easy to adjust and use. Only issue is I ordered online and it arrived with a defective 20V battery according to red lights and the manual. Had back up because of previous buy so weeding on.
