What Customers Are Saying
The adjustable jack post is well-made and durable, able to handle heavy loads. Many customers found it easy to install and adjust the height as needed, with the swivel plate at the bottom helping to level the post. However, some received defective products with painted-over adjustment screws that were difficult or impossible to turn.

Would Not RecommendCame with tape everywhere then the screw jack was completely seized with paint and it won't break free. Now I have to return it after waiting 10 days for it to arrive. A complete waste of time.
Good product.
Would RecommendWorked perfectly, was concerned based on other reviews that the threads may work very hard, but the one I got didn't have this issue. Seems to be of good quality.
Secondary Foundation Support
Would RecommendUsed these jacks to support a beam to sure up a 100 year old floor. While these may not feel as robust as I expected, they worked flawlessly and worked as represented. Easy peasy.
The fix is in.
Would RecommendWhen you find structural damage in your new home always call an Engineer. Then you can buy the proper equipment to fix it.
Arrived damaged
Would Not RecommendI had to order this pole and waited 3 weeks to get it in. I took the cardboard off one end and it is damaged beyond use. Now I have to reorder the pole and wait another 3 weeks to get it. Not pleased at all.
Bottom bracket has no purpose what so ever
Would Not RecommendI bought this. Feel so dumb rn. The quality is terrible but my 2 main concerns are that the bottom bracket does not actually secure to the screw like it does at the top and the nut to the jack does not secure to the tube. The holes on the bottom bracket serve no purpose what so ever. This product is literally held together by the weight of the home. I can't imagine using this jack without having to pouring a sono tube footing. Seriously guys you can buy a base plate, 3 concrete blocks, a bag of ...
Garbage DO Not Buy
Would Not RecommendI hardly ever leave reviews but I bought 3 of these jack post and none of them screw out easy, you have to beat them with a rubber hammer to get them to turn. I wish I didn't waith so long or I would have returned them now i'm stuck with garbage and have to go buy a different brand.
Heavy Duty Crawlspace Jack Post - Made in OH/PA
Would RecommendThis made in the USA heavy duty single piece crawlspace jack post (or mini column as labeled on the Akron website) worked very well for me in supporting a section of floor with undersized joists. I wish Lowes would also carry the Grabber Saddle Plate from Akron as I had to order those elsewhere. The saddle plates are used to wrap underneath a 4x6 beam to firmly hold the beam from rolling, twisting or slipping. A larger saddle plate for 6x6 beams is also available from Akron. The adjustable sc...
Solid steel, but horrible QC on this product.
Would Not RecommendThey painted the threads on the adjustment, which basically makes any adjustment without a hammer non-existent. Because of that, 2 of the 4 inches of adjustment were not able to be used.
Used a bottle jack to raise a load bearing I-beam in a garage, placed post underneath, used 2ft piece of pipe to turn handle on post to snug it up. Lowered jack. Worked perfectly.
Adjustable Jack Post 12-15 inches
Would Not RecommendIn general this jack post will work as advertised, and I did use mine to raise and stabilize a floor bearing a lot of weight. I did not like the jack post being in four pieces that had to be assembled under the floor in a tight crawl space, and the pieces kept falling apart until there was some weight on them.
