Accurate inexpensive thermometer

The thermometer is easy to set up and is accurate. I purchased several of these at the same time and compared them to a calibrated mercury thermometer between 35 and 75 degrees F. The indoor and outdoor thermometers behaved similarly. They were most accurate at 70 F. They read 1 degree F high at 35 and a little low at 75 F. I would expect them to read 1 degree low at 105 F. When you consider that they are inexpensive and read in whole degrees, that performance is quite acceptable.

I've used this in my camper for almost a year. It works perfectly. I got it because the thermometer on the camper's furnace is too small to read accurately. I bought another one recently because I wanted to monitor a freezer for a couple weeks using the outside sender. Then I moved the sender to the refrigerator, so I could dial in a decent temperature. Next I'm going to put it outside of the house.

Worked great for a while

This thermometer worked really well for a long while, up until one of my cats decided that the main unit (the 'indoor' part) needed to take a short flight across the room. Ever since then it's been saying that my basement (where I put the 'outdoor' reader because I wanted to see if my basement will be cool enough in the summer and warm enough in the winter for me to keep a worm bin) is either 100 degrees or 20 degrees, which is just not right at all. Excellent Display

Excellent display & easy to install! Popped the batteries in and placed the sensor oitside in a protected (from weather spot). Good to go. Good range on wireless sensor.

Dark display background makes it harder to read

I like the larger numerals for the outside temperature display. But I was very disappointed that the background is actually a darker color than the sticker display on the face of the thermometer. The actual display background is more like a bronze color and not as easy to read from any distance. There needs to be a backlight added to this thermometer's display if there is no direct indoor light close to it.
