i have severe allergies and copd and this allows me to be out in the yard while cutting grass and never get sick

So far, since purchasing it, my Son has used it several times when spray painting a metal desk.. Says it has worked fine..

Great Mask!

Very comfortable, easy to adjust, and I feel confident against unwanted smells and chemical odors.

High quality good fit

Needed some extra protection during clean up efforts following hurricane Harvey. This was a nice fitting well constructed mask. More comfortable than the ones I use at work.

Unable to find replacement filters

After an extensive web search, I'm unable to find replacement filters for this respirator as I have several jobs that I need to do with this. It sounds like it works well but it's a dumb idea to sell it without offering replacement filters so I'm returning this @$40 item.

Excellent respirator

Used in a small shop when using brushing lacquer. This mask filtered all traces of solvent smell out.

I've been using it to sand paint and epoxy off an old boat. It's been a life saver. Can only smell when I move my face. I didn't realize there were different sizes, it's kinda small to see. And not sure how the neck strap is supposed to be, I just tied them in a knot and it's fine. Even fits decent over mah beard.

Good, but overpriced

This mask works great, but is priced too high. I cannot smell the lacquer I spray when I wear it.

Decent mask if it will stay on

I bought this respirator for spraying paint indoors with and airless sprayer. I realized when I opened it this wasn't the best choice in filters but it would work. Next time I can put cartridges with changeable particulate filters on. I like the mask EXCEPT the horrible "drop down" feature. In order to make the mask not fall down my face while looking around I had to cross the neck straps and have them fairly snug. Then it work OK but it is difficult to look up and spray ceilings. Excellent Respirator for paint & varnish stripping

I am renovating an old home with beautiful woodwork that has old varnish that I need to remove. This respirator allows me to work with paint/varnish remover without breathing the toxic fumes. It does get a bit uncomfortable after extended use, but it is worth it to breath filtered air. The cost was also reasonable for the mask

Hard to find out which organic vapors it works for

Due to the lack of information on which organic vapors this respirator protects against on the outside of the packaging, I opened the plastic clamshell in the store and read over the User Information. No further help was offered, so I decided to purchase based on the limited amount of information on the packaging. 3M Respirator

Nice product and worked just fine for application of waterproofing chemical which had an extremely strong smell. What I find disturbing is that Lowes carries the mask but does not carry the replacement cartridges for it. Come on Lowes, if you are going to carry the product to sell, its best to carry the rest of the items needed for it.

definitely helped me when applying epoxy on garage

A good thing to wear when applying paint, especially one with volatiles in an area that is air flow restricted. I have used many masks, this one worked better than others, it costs more but my lungs are worth it. The straps holding onto your face could have been better designed.

Good respirator, but...

I agree with all the other reviews, this is a decent quality respirator, but it has one large drawback in my opinion. The "Drop Down" feature lets you unhook the back lower strap and keep the top strap on your head, allowing the respirator face part to slip down the straps to your neck, out of the way, while you still wear it. The problem is that when the respirator is on your face and filtering, if you start to sweat at all, the weight of the respirator face part makes it slide down the straps ...

this really works

I was painting doors and trim in our new bathroom with an oil based enamel paint. The fumes were making me dizzy and feel ill and I realized I needed some protection. This mask was extremely effective at keeping out the fumes. I could not smell the paint at any time I had the mask on and suffered no more! It was easy to prepare for use (just attach the filter cartridges) and it can be used over and over. The only thing I would improve would be the head straps. They seem cheaply made compared to ...

Necessary purchase that was perfect for the job.

I did all my homework for this product at the 3M website. I figured that I needed to buy it online and have it shipped. That wasn't the case at all. Lowes had the exact item on their shelves--no shipping required. I really couldn't afford the time for shipping so this was a huge savings. The respirator also had the exact type of air filters I needed too.
