Good coverage, but thick and messy to work with

Used this Valspar Reserve semi-gloss on an interior project and have mixed feelings. On the plus side, the finish dries to a nice, durable semi-gloss sheen and the paint-and-primer combo does hold up well once it’s on the wall. That said, this paint is genuinely difficult to work with. It goes on very thick — almost too thick — which sounds like it would mean better coverage, but in practice it just creates a mess. Color is fantastic and easy one-coat coverage. Cleanup was simple too because the paint is water-based

The painters tried a different brand in my hall closet, one that they apparently used quite often, & that’s when the real beauty of the Reserve came through. The difference was night & day. Needless to say I insisted on going back to Reserve. So glad I did.

Definitely thick paint use less

First time panting my kitchen. The paint was very creamy went on very easy. I bought a gallon, but had almost 3/4 left. Could have gotten by with a quart. The color was perfect.
