My home was built in 1919. I'm not sure what materials are in the walls. Will this still find the studs?

NO, it will not work. Your walls are most likely plaster and lathe. The L50 does not work on my 1910 home walls, deep scan or not. Tried every wall.

Probably not...there's a lot of wire mesh in the wall and there's usually several coats of plaster on lathe. The studs are too deep for the stud finder to identify.

Hello. If your home was built in 1919, it is most likely a lathe and plaster wall. If this is the case, the L50 will not work. No standard studsensor will. I recommend a metal finder to find the nails holding the lathe to the stud. Zircon's m40 MetalliScanner would do the trick.
