Purchased yesterday. Green light above Grounded is on, Light above protected is not on.


Once tripped, it is dead and cannot be reset. Would not recommend you replace it with the same unit as this is a one fault unit.

It could be a bad unit, but I would also check your wall outlet. It could be a bad ground there.

It sounds like you have a wiring issue. If the unit tripped when plugged in and will not show "protected" there is a VERY good chance you have issues elsewhere. It is not allowing anything to function FOR YOUR SAFETY. In your case I would suggest contacting a qualified electrician.
