Can I screw a deckboard to the top to make a cocktail railing?


I just Installed a trex ehance standard deck board on this railing system. I mitered the edges and put a return on it to hide the cut edge. I pre drilled the upper rail and used 1” screws in each baluster hole to secure it. Looks amazing.

Hello, and thank you for your interest in Trex products. A cocktail rail can be used with our Enhance railing system. We suggest choosing between our Select and Transcend board lines as they are solid on the bottom and will properly secure to the top rail. Kindly-Trex Customer Care
