Hello, and thank you for your interest in Trex! The amount of stairs that one railing section will cover depend upon the angle of your stairs. You will need to determine what your rise and run lengths are to get the angle to then be able to calculate how many stairs it will cover. The stair kit is designed to fit most stair applications and because of the variety of angles we are not able to give an exact number of stairs the kit will cover. Thank you, Trex Customer Care
