Could we somehow install these as a low fence in the ground, around a patio? They are the perfect height and look for us.

Hello, Trex Railing isn't designed to be used as a fence however as long as the rail & baluster kits are attached to code approved structural posts such as pressure treated posts then it should work fine while following the installation instructions. Note: Each Enhance Rail & Baluster kit comes with an adjustable foot block for bottom rail support which prevents sagging, so be sure you have a way to install this piece. Hope this helps!
