I know Trex doesn't make a gate kit. But can I cut this rail into a 3 foot section and turn it into a gate? Any third party gate kits available?


Hi there! Trex does have an aluminum gate kit that comes in a 48" width and can be customized to fit your sizing needs. It comes in a 36" or a 42" height and can be white, black, or bronze. You can check them out here: https://www.trex.com/products/railing/aluminum-gates/ We do not recommend using our railing as a gate due to the lack of adequate support, and we have not done testing with any third party gates so we cannot recommend them for use.
