Does the post sleeve HAVE to go over a 4x4 post or can they just be used as a post mounted onto the deck surface?


Hello, and thank you for your interest in Trex. The Trex post sleeves are hollow and designed to slide over a standard 4X4 post. They are a hollow sleeve, they need to be over something. There are metal posts out there as well.
