I would like to cut 45 degree corners on the deck boards and fasten them together. Is this doable or not advised due to shrinkage?


Hello, You can cut Trex at 45 degree corners, however you will not want to fasten the boards together tight due to slight thermal expansion and contraction. Trex recommends to leave an 1/8" gap end-to-end when installing above 40 degrees Fahrenheit. Thanks, Tori - Trex Customer Care Team
